@TheRebelEye I’m sure it would make a great canoe-maran. But if you’re looking for stability I don’t think it would be needed. I’m able to stand and fish and control the boat at full? power from the rear with another person in it with me. ope that helps.
Nice rig! I was looking at that exact boat when I bought mine. I went with a Scanoe… 299 couldnt beat the price! Ive been wanting to set mine ud the same as yours almost! Great video, its cool to see other peoples creations. I have a 2hp evinrude on my boat and it goes fine. a 4hp on yours would be perfect cause its a bit heavier than mine.Ive even been in the salt flats clamming with my 2hp it? was more than enough to fight the incoming tide.
@baystategal The stadium seats where mounted with Ikea brand cargo straps. I wrapped the straps around the canoe seat? and the stadium seat and pulled tightly. It allows me to use the seats for other stuff as well. Thanks for the comment and the question.
I’m impressed with thrifty creativity and talent! I don’t fish, but you have some good ideas for non-fishermen. How did you mount the chairs? Are? they permanently affixed to the canoe seats?
@BREAMIX Ive been transporting it on top of my Jeep GC. Its cumbersome but I get on top of the Jeep with all the equip. inside the truck. I did order a trailer for it just to make it easier for solo fishing and to have everything in the boat when i get to the launch. I figured it would be? less time consuming for when I just want to get out for a short while. When the trailer is ready I’ll post a vid.
good job! I have just recieved my new OT GUide 160 and I am going to fit it out for fishing. How do you transport your boat? Roof rack or any kinf of car troley? Can you? lift it up on the top of your car by yourself? Thanks. MISO
@Nate3038 A buddy of mine gave me a bubbler he didn’t need any longer so I’ll be putting that in a 50 qt. marine cooler I got? for $25 at walmart. That will fit more fish than the seat well would and it has the drain at the bottom. I’ll do a quick vid soon.
@surjracer56 Looking for something like this, a boat that I can put together for two boats or one boat? if I want.
